We’re Hiring a Summer Student at Nova Artistic Swimming! ??💦
Do you love working with kids, enjoy being part of a team, and have a passion for swimming? Nova Artistic Swimming is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated summer student to help run our exciting summer programs!
What You’ll Do
As a Summer Student with Nova Artistic Swimming, your role will include:
- Planning and Leading Summer Camps: Organize and lead Nova summer camps designed for new swimmers.
- Coaching Free Trial Events: Organize and coach free-trial sessions to introduce kids to artistic swimming.
- Registration Support: Assist the Head Coach by coordinating summer camp coach meetings and managing registration.
- Social Media Coordinator: Create engaging social media posts (2-3 per week) on all platforms to advertise summer camps, free trials, and fall programs.
- Community Outreach: Print and distribute posters in local communities to promote events.
- Camp Equipment Management: Handle transportation of camp equipment (wagons, sound systems, caps, nose clips, etc.).
- General Support: Assist the Head Coach with other club tasks as assigned.
Position Details
- Duration: 8 weeks, 35 hours/week
- Start Date: June 30
- Pay: Competitive hourly rate
What We’re Looking For
To qualify, you’ll need to:
- Be a minimum AquaGO-trained coach, registered and compliant with AAS (Artistic Swimming Alberta).
- Have access to your own transportation to get to camp locations and transport equipment.
- Own a computer with access to Gmail, Word, and Excel.
- Be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of the position.
